A Note from Our Founder
My entrepreneurship journey started in high school when my parents announced they were expecting. I helped mom start a daycare so she could be with my baby brother 24/7. By college, I had launched a video production company—while interning at CBS News—and even ended up hiring some of their staff as contractors.
I’ve never been afraid of entrepreneurship. It’s always felt natural.
But let’s talk about two failed businesses. After getting married, raising our first two kids, and running my own marketing agency, I glanced at our balance sheet one day and realized… we had crossed $1 million in revenue! Not because the goal was set and met. Nope, I was just doing all the things, demanding excellence and living a very unbalanced workaholic life. And that’s exactly when things started to unravel. That business collapsed. And a production business partnership my husband really put his heart into failed after that. We had our third and final child and had the guts to try again. This third business was the charm and it’s been thriving for decades.
I’ve had epic failures and phenomenal wins. Through it all, I’ve learned that every small business owner needs five core things to succeed. And here’s the wild part—I’m still learning and expanding this premise. That’s why I built B3 Elevation—to bring together the best and brightest minds in small business development. Our mission?
